According to Curtin University, the health of the people of Australia will be at risk if there will be continued recruitment of incompetent nurses from abroad. Linda Shields conducted a research at Britain's National Health Service. Based from her study, most nurses recruited from United Kingdom were being registered in Australia, in spite of being knowledgeable at a diploma level. It means that some nurses are performing their tasks even they lack training and other requirements. The possible outcome of this is that Australian nurses and the field of nursing care will be unsuccessful which happened exactly in UK. Things are not happening the way it used to be, persons concerned need to be aware of what will happen when they decide to recruit nurses to come and work in Australia. [via] |
