At Middle Tennessee Medical Center, a new dress code will be implemented to have distinctiveness of the nurses. The center aims to encourage a professional image and to improve infection control standards. This will establish positive impression on the patients and visitors. According to Gordon Ferguson, CEO and president, a professional appearance also expresses MTMC's core standards of integrity and commitment. "I'm extremely pleased about the new look and I strongly believe this will be another strong step toward achieving our goal of becoming a high reliability organization," Ferguson said.
The guidelines for the new dress code was implemented last September 1. All RN / LPNs are required to wear white tops with either white or royal blue pants while caregivers are required to wear a royal blue top and bottom. White closed toe shoes are also a requirement. [via dnj.com] |
