Skechers USA, Inc., is an international company in the footwear business. According to a company representative, they have signed a licensing contract with Strategic Partners, Inc., the producer of Cherokee Medical Apparel. This January 2010, they are planning to craft and distribute Skechers apparel specifically for healthcare professionals such as nurses. Skechers will introduce youthful and more satisfying fit than the traditional medical clothes which will be available in different sizes. The line will employ RTW trends in basics like scrubs, pants, jackets and tees by means of modern silhouettes, prints and fabrications. Labelled accents like Skechers logo buttons, flag labels, jacquard ribbons, and zipper pulls will be used.

According to Michael Greenberg, President of Skechers, "Doctors and nurses already love our Skechers work non-slip footwear stuff. This new medical apparel line perfectly complements our workplace footwear offerings and will be an extraordinary extension to the Skechers brand and lifestyle within medical environments."

The chic, cool and womanly side of caregivers will be carried over the design of their clothes. The personal touch of medical people on their apparel style will reflect their job. Check the Skechers Medical Apparel in their retail stores and in catalogues. [via uniformmarketnews.com]
