In spite of the long hours of work of nurses, low salary was being given to them. Frequently, their care giving tasks are often not appreciated. By means of the introduction of the first lifestyle magazine for nurses entitled "Scrubs", the jobs of nurses will be discussed and stretched out. According to Michael Singer, the Chief Executive of the Chatsworth-based company Strategic Partners Inc., the one who proposed the concept of the magazine, nurses have common traits and professional attitude. On the other hand, nurses share their issues as a caregiver. Career such as Nursing is more physically and emotionally demanding especially in a care giving.

Singer stated, "We also found that nurses were doing so many incredible things but were really under-appreciated in so many ways. So many nurses go out of their way to help patients, and that was a real source of inspiration for us. We felt like there were stories that really needed to be told."

In the debut issue of the magazine, the articles incorporate makeup approaches for 12-hour workdays, steps in the preparation of fast and low-cost gourmet meals, files of people who shifted to nursing career, and tips to manage stress. According to Catherine Ettlinger, the Editorial Director, the former Editor in Chief of Elle and the U.S. trial product of Marie Claire, other nursing-related websites, magazines and journals were tackled in the debut issue. Other categories like food, fashion, fitness and nutrition, work and family are also discussed. There will be 3 issues of the magazine in a year. It will be available in nursing clothing stores in the countrywide. [via]
