When Herald and News suggested the bringing back of matron's uniform, Ashford and St Peter's NHS Trust's matrons have introduced a brilliant crimson uniform that will reinforce their role. The former uniform of the matrons' has a polka dot design but it didn’t help them to stand out. They are constantly engage in administrative jobs and meetings. Caroline Becher, a Chief Nurse who started the job on June 1, began to bring back the matrons to help improve their patient and staff. She said that when she started and saw the story in the Herald she realized that the public and patients didn’t perceive that. She wanted them to be recognized in a glance. Two and a half days of training was given to matrons to help them advance their days. Clinical Fridays were also given to them to help them spend the whole day with their teams. Chertsey and Ashford have 18 matrons assigned in medical care like intensive care, surgery, and outpatient departments. |

A 3.25 GPA must be maintained instead of a 2.0 GPA in their third and fourth semesters.
